  Aquatics at the
 Park Cities YMCA

The YMCA has been called "America's Favorite Swim Instructor" for over 100 years.  At the Y, not only will you learn how to swim, you’ll learn about yourself, about safety and rescue skills, and about water activities you can enjoy for a lifetime.  Throughout all levels, students are taught aquatic, boating safety and rescue skills.   We also offer aquatics exercise classes and competitive swim programs for adults and youth. Class size is determined by both safety factors and age of participants and is closely monitored to ensure safety. All our instructors provide caring, personal instruction, and all are YMCA certified.

Early Childhood Swim Lessons!
Swim Lessons with an Early Childhood Education emphasis:

  • Serves as an avenue to build character
  • Teaches safety around the water and drowning prevention strategies
  • Build child's self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Provides social contacts and opportunities to strengthen both family and community bonds

We offer the following advantages with our new swim lesson format:

Certified Instructors who receive Early Childhood Development Training
Our instructors will work with your children in developmentally friendly ways!

Small Class Sizes
Our preschool program classes are limited to 4 students.  This insures more one-on-one interaction with each child and promotes social growth for the kids

We encourage parents to stay and watch their children learn
This enables you to interact with the instructor before and after class.  It also enables you to watch as your child learns a new skill!
