Camp Chawasha
Camp Chawasha is an outdoor YMCA Day Camp located on 35 acres in Southlake. Activities include field trips, theme days, swimming and:

Archery • Arts & Crafts • Science Experiments • Hiking • BB Riflery • Camp Games • Team Building

Camp Chawasha is for boys and girls 6-12 years old.  Due to state licensing requirements, children must be at least 6 years old to attend camp.  Camp will run in weekly sessions and is held Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Each child will need to bring a sack lunch, water bottle, swimming gear, and sunscreen to camp everyday.  Please be aware that no refrigeration is available and that campers must wear close toed shoes to camp everyday.

Field Trips
*Scheduled for Thursdays-each week
There is no additional charge for field trips.

Transportation
The YMCA will provide transportation to and from the camp site each day. Campers can be dropped off starting at 7:30am and must be at the Y by 8:30am.  Campers must be picked up by 4:30pm. 

*All trips are tentative and may be changed.
You will be notified of any changes on the first day of camp.  If a change needs to be made during the week of camp, we will make every effort to give you advance notice.

Parent Orientation: Come get all the information you need for a great summer, meet the summer staff and get any questions you may have answered.
Thursday, May 28     6:00 - 7:00 pm at the YMCA

Shot Records
A copy of your child’s shot record must be turned in before registration can be accepted. A spot will not be reserved and payment will not be taken for your child until all required forms are received. No exceptions. The State of Texas mandates that we retain a copy of your child’s immunization record on file.

Extended care is available until 6pm for an additional fee of $35 a week per child.

Each participant will receive a Camp  t-shirt, which must be worn on field trip days.   

No refunds will be given after the first day of each session.
